Terms of use

Last updated: 15 October 2026 · Version 2

These terms are the agreement between you and 4D Ages for using the 4D Ages app and website. Please read them with our privacy policy, which explains how we look after your information. By creating an account, you agree to these terms.

1. Who we are

4D Ages is run by an independent developer based in the United Kingdom. You can contact us at [email protected].

2. Who can use 4D Ages

You must be 18 or over, and the parent, guardian or carer of any child whose information you add (or have their permission). 4D Ages is free to use.

3. Your account

4. Your books are yours

Everything you add stays yours. You give us only the permission needed to run 4D Ages for you: to keep your books, show and sync them to you and the people you invite, and make them into books, PDFs and videos when you ask. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account (except for a book you share with the other parent, which they keep).

When you add photos or information about other people, such as family members, make sure you're allowed to, and that they would be comfortable with it.

5. Using 4D Ages fairly

Please don't use 4D Ages to:

If someone breaks these rules, we may remove the content and suspend or close their account. Where content suggests a child is at risk, we will report it to the authorities.

6. Health and growth

Growth charts, percentiles and milestone ages are for information only. They are not medical advice. Ask your doctor or health visitor about your child's health and development.

4D Ages is not a medical app. The pregnancy tips for symptoms are general information based on NHS guidance, in our own words. They are not medical advice, they are not a diagnosis, and they do not replace your midwife, GP, doctor or pharmacist, who know you and your pregnancy. Always check with a pharmacist, midwife or doctor before taking any medicine. If you are worried, or something does not feel right, contact your midwife or doctor. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.

The baby's size each week, scan comparisons and pregnancy milestone weeks are typical averages. Every pregnancy is different. For pets, health reminders and ages in "dog years" or similar are rough guides; follow your vet's advice.

7. Keeping copies

We take great care to keep your books safe, but no online service can promise it will never lose information. Keep your own copies of the photos that matter most, for example by downloading a copy of your data or saving your book as a PDF.

8. Changes to 4D Ages

We keep improving 4D Ages, so features may change. If we ever had to stop running it, we would tell you well in advance, so you could download everything.

9. Our responsibility to you

We provide 4D Ages with reasonable care and skill. If you're a consumer, you have legal rights that these terms don't take away.

Nothing in these terms limits our responsibility for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit. Apart from that, as 4D Ages is a free service, we're not responsible for losses that weren't reasonably foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by things outside our reasonable control.

10. Other services

4D Ages works with other services you may choose to use, such as Google sign-in and Google Drive backup, and shows maps from OpenStreetMap. Their own terms apply to them. The music in videos is in the public domain, so the videos you make can be shared freely.

11. Ending

You can stop using 4D Ages and delete your account at any time, in Settings or on this page. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll tell you in the app and on the website before it applies, and ask you to agree again. If you don't agree, you can delete your account.

13. The law

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Any dispute can be brought in the courts of England and Wales; if you live in Scotland, Northern Ireland or another country, you can also use your local courts, and you keep the protection of your local consumer law.
